Episode Summary It’s known as “the Lenten spring”, a time that Orthodox Christians begin their journey to the saving events of the Cross and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. It’s a time that is filled with the traditions of fasting and confession, a variety of different services we don’t see throughout the year, and an overall period of joyful sorrow. One of the most liturgically-important periods of the Church, many people have questions as to how it started, what has changed, and why even have it anymore. Living in the 21st century, is Lent important to us? Today’s show begins our journey, with: Great Lent… The Journey Begins.
